This is an original 1922 black and white print ad for the American House hotel located on Hanover Street in Boston, Massachusetts, that was operated by Lewis Rice & Son during the Roaring Twenties era. The American House hotel opened in 1835 and was closed and demolished on August 8, 1935 to make room for a parking lot. Famous guests of the hotel include abolitionist John Brown, author Ralph Waldo Emerson, and others.
